COVID-19 Vaccines

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized two COVID-19 vaccines. VA will have a limited amount of vaccines to start. We've worked with the CDC and other federal partners to develop a phased plan. Our goal is to do the most good for the most people during this time.

Currently, VA is offering COVID-19 vaccine to Veterans already receiving care from the VA, based on CDC and VA risk criteria. If you're eligible to get a vaccine, your VA health care team will contact you.

Veterans who are not enrolled or do not currently receive care at VA can visit VA's Eligibility web page to learn more: Eligibility For VA Health Care | Veterans Affairs

On Monday, March 8, a special extended hours COVID-19 vaccination (first dose) clinic will be held from 1:00 to 6:30 p.m. for any Veteran patient.  To secure an appointment on that day, call 573-686-4151 and push "2" to speak to someone who can assist you. The clinic will be held at the main medical center, at 1500 N. Westwood Blvd. in Poplar Bluff.

On Thursday, March 11, a COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held from 9:00 to 3:00 at our Pocahontas clinic, located at 300 Camp Road in Pocahontas, Arkansas.  Veterans who want to receive the vaccine on that day may call 573-686-4151 and push "2" to schedule an appointment.

Other first dose COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held by appointment only at the National Guard armory in Poplar Bluff (1605 Cravens Road) every Tuesday from 9:00 to 3:15.  Beginning Wednesday, March 24, second dose clinics will also be held at the armory.   Veterans may call 573-686-4151, and push “2” to schedule an appointment.

We are grateful to the Missouri National Guard for providing a great venue to vaccinate our Veterans.
